Learn Yogic Foundations

Hatha Yoga is defined as movement that develops strength, flexibility, bodily relaxation, and mental concentration. Hatha classes are designed for mixed-level participants and provide a balanced combination of sustained poses with attention to basic alignment and therapeutic principles.

In this class, postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.

Get Ready to Sweat and Get in Shape

Power classes are a strong moving flow that cultivate balance, stability, flexibility, and vigor. Breath awareness and coordination are carried throughout the practice as the asana ebbs and flows between effort and ease. Modifications are offered for beginning and advanced students.

Power yoga enthusiasts attest it enhances stamina, flexibility, posture, and mental focus. Like all physical activities, it also relieves tension and releases toxins through sweat. Because it is rigorous, it burns more calories than most traditional forms of yoga and therefore can help with weight loss.

Go Inward and Connect with Yourself

Meditation is a grounding practice which helps you to know yourself better, appreciate yourself and others more, and allows you to get a more relaxed and sound sleep.

Science has proven that regular meditation can have powerful long-lasting effects. It helps to activate our rest-and-digest system and begin the process of ushering our body back to a more natural and calm state. Our body begins to heal and grows stronger and more resilient.

Guided meditations get you to these states and benefits faster as I guide you to infinity.

KRIYIN AND RAJA

Go Inward and Connect with Yourself

KriYin and Raja Yoga are slower-paced, more meditative version of the popular physical and spiritual discipline of yoga. The poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer) to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments) rather than focusing on the muscles.

They are also a study of the human mind, becoming aware of its habitual tendencies, and ultimately transcending identification with the body-mind-intellect complex through meditation to rest in the vast ocean of consciousness, which comprises it all.

You'll learn so much about the philosophy of Yoga and how to apply them to your life as you melt into the mat one gentle breath at a time.

FOCUSING ON MOBILITY

A little less movement than our traditional Hatha classes. Formerly known as our Sunrise Flow Classes, the emphasis is on creating mobility, gentle breath work and waking up the body.

Great way to start the day especially if you're not wanting to get all sweaty before work but want to warm up the body and get things morning!
