I'm Vikky Santana, yoga teacher, movement mechanic, and the person your doctor forgot to mention when they told you to "just stretch more."
I'm 61 years old and I have never had so little pain in my life. I spent the last 20 years unlearning how yoga was taught to me for the first 20, and replacing it with neurology, functional movement, applied anatomy, and physiology. I teach and help students and clients with science.
I've helped hundreds of women over 50 stop moving in ways that create pain and start moving in ways that rebuild strength. My approach is simple and non-negotiable: pain is most often a strength problem, not a flexibility problem. We build from there.
With 38 years of practice, 15 years of teaching, and over 13,000 hours on the mat, I specialize in women dealing with real limitations and a wellness industry that keeps handing them modifications instead of solutions.
I hold an ERYT designation and have been certifying teachers for 9 years. I don't follow scripts. I cue bodies in real time, because your body is the only one that matters in the room.
