Hatha Yoga

EXCELLENT FOR: Newcomers to yoga, veteran yogis and yogis wanting to refine their foundational knowledge of poses. There are no vinyasas in this class. Emphasis is on the poses and breath.


Hatha yoga is the overarching umbrella of yoga that encompasses most of the traditional styles, including Vinyasa and Ashtanga. Directly translated to “willful” or “forceful” in Sanskrit, Hatha yoga is the fundamental system of yoga that focuses on the pairing of poses or “asanas” with breathing techniques

Meditation

Start the day off in the best way possible. In a short amount of time you learn some philosophy and breath work followed by stillness. Leave your meditation seat refreshed, mindful, alert and ready to embrace the day.

KriYin

EXCELLENT FOR: All Levels, meditators, newcomers to yoga, recovering from injuries.

KriYin was developed by me at a time in my life was unraveled. Living a life with debilitating pain, stress, depression and insomnia I searched for a practice that would help me. I didn't find one so I created one. All poses are low to the ground and simple. The difference is the breath work we do in class. Created for mental, emotional and physical pain management.

Raja

EXCELLENT FOR: newcomers to yoga but is an ALL LEVELS class. Every pose has multiple variations allowing you to progress at your pace.

Raja Yoga encompasses DEEP stretching of muscles and activation of connective tissue. Poses are low to the ground. Emphasis is on the breath and finding an expression of the poses that challenge us without torturing us.

Slow mindful movement coupled with stillness and breath awareness cultivate an open heart, mind and body.

Sunrise Slow Flow

A slower paced class with fewer poses. Emphasis is warming up the body, mechanics and improving mobility. Good for all levels but especially for senior citizens and newcomers. 

Yoga Nidra

A guided meditation used to access the deepest parts of the mind where latent habitual patterns reside. These patterns lay latent in the mind out of our conscious view and drive our reactions to the outside world. The only pose in this class is Savasana!

 

I will systematically guide you to access different levels of the mind and help you bring awareness and unlock both what is holding you back and what will propel you into the direction of your life purpose. The practice is simple; the effects are profound.

Yin Yoga

Poses are held for several minutes at a time in order to the stretch the connective tissue around the joints. In the deep stretching class you can expect to lay back, relax, and de-stress.

Yoga For Kids

In this playful yoga class designed for children ages 5-11, children will learn yoga poses, breathing, and relaxation exercises which cultivate a calm mind, increase strength and flexibility, improve gross and fine motor skills, improve concentration, and help them understand how to identify and manage their feelings.

Each class includes affirmations/mindfulness, Sanskrit word of the day, breath work, yoga poses , song and dance, next week's goal, relaxation (jelly belly time).
